Message from the President
South Africa needs a new direction in local government
Fellow South Africans,
South Africa needs a new direction in local government. Our communities deserve municipalities that work, leaders who listen and public resources that are used for the benefit of the people.
The National Restoration Party was established with a clear mission: to Restore, Rebuild and Renew South Africa.
We believe that every citizen deserves dignity, opportunity, quality basic services, safe communities, decent roads, reliable water and electricity, meaningful employment opportunities and accountable government.

Twelve pillars for local government
Practical commitments for water, electricity, roads, jobs, housing and clean government — measured in every ward.
Employment & Equal Opportunity
Work is dignity. NRP will open municipal opportunity to every qualifying resident, at every age.
02Education & Skills
A municipality that invests in learning builds its own future workforce.
03Water & Basic Services
Water is a right, not a delivery schedule.
04Electricity & Energy
Stable power for homes, schools, clinics and small businesses.
05Roads, Transport & Infrastructure
Roads connect people to work, school, clinics and markets.
06Housing, Land & Human Settlements
Dignified settlements, lawful land reform and serviced sites.
07Jobs, Local Economic Development & SMMEs
The local economy is the fastest route out of unemployment.
08Clean, Accountable & Corruption-Free Government
Every rand of public money must be traceable.
09Good Governance & Community Participation
Decisions about a community must be made with that community.
10Safe, Healthy & Dignified Communities
Clean, lit and safe public spaces change daily life.
11Taxis, E-Hailing & Local Transport Economy
Transport is a livelihood sector, and it needs practical rules.
12Social Justice, Inclusion & Community Renewal
No resident is left outside the municipality's care.
Our values
Accountability
Leaders who answer to the communities that elected them.
Transparency
Open books, open tenders, open decision making.
Service Delivery
Water, electricity, roads and waste that actually work.
Integrity
Public office is a public trust, never a private opportunity.
Equality of Opportunity
Fair access to work, training and municipal support.
Community Development
Development planned with residents, not for them.
Economic Empowerment
Township, rural and small business economies first.
Justice
Equal protection and equal treatment before the law.
Constitutional Democracy
Loyal to the Constitution and the rule of law.
Responsible Leadership
Discipline, humility and measurable performance.
